Fall Tree Craft

Lets learn about different seasons and different types of weathers. They are four seasons in many parts of the world: winter, summer, spring, fall(also called autumn). Today, we will paint trees in autumn using cotton buds. (Idea from here.)

What you need: construction paper, cotton buds, pencil, paint brush and washable kid's paint.

First, paint the tree trunk on paper then draw a circle on top using pencil. Lets your kids dip one end of the cotton bud into paint then press onto their paper until the circle is full.

Press several times outside the circle to make fall leaves.

Let dry.

Here's the finished work.

DIY Healthy Party Favors: Butterfly Snacks

My daughter's preschool is organizing a Teachers & Children's Party today and they encouraged parents to prepare some food for them. Thus we made these fun butterfly snacks bag last night. My daughter love these butterfly snacks idea very much!

What you need: Ziplock snack-sized bags, pipe cleaners, Kellogg's Cornflakes, Nestle Cheerios and Milo Cereal(or any cereal), scissors, stickers, pencil.

Fill a Ziplock snack-sized bag with cereals. Separate your snacks to both sides of the bag, so the center is left clear for your antenna shaped pipe cleaner.  My daughter wanted to stick the round color stickers as butterfly's eyes, such a great idea! :)

For Malaysia, although it is not an official school holiday, celebrations are usually held on May 16, or earlier, if it falls on a Saturday or Sunday.

My daughter and I made this for her's preschool teacher.

Mother's Day Craft

My daughter gave me her first mother's day craft made in preschool. And here is our conversation:

Daughter: Mommy, for you!
Mommy: Wow, you made this for me?
Daughter: No, Teacher Luz!
Mommy: Haha!

She actually just did the coloring and glue the blink blink dot. :)
