Happy Easter!

A fun acticity on Easter day, let's roll Easter egg to create an abstract art painting! What you need: cooked egg/plastic egg, white construction paper, paint brush, and washable kid's fingerpaint.

My daughter painted her first Easter egg tonight. After she painted the egg we had cooked, she started to roll the egg on the paper. I feel surprised to see the beautiful egg roll painting. Thus I let her to roll the easter egg painted on the white construction paper. So much fun!

Egg Carton Mushroom Craft

Lets create some egg carton mushrooms. What you need: egg carton, cottons, white manila card, glue, scissors, paint brush, and washable kid's fingerpaint.

Cut egg carton into individual cups. Paint the egg carton cup red then paste the cottons on it while it's still wet. The cottons somehow will stick on it. Cut the white manila card into small rectangle then roll and glue it (look like a small toilet paper roll). Last step is to glue the two parts together as picture below.

Use the paint brush to apply paint on your hand and your kid's hand then press on the paper as below. Both our handprints to make butterfly wings. Let dry.

Use marker pen/paint to draw in the head, body and antennas of the butterfly.

I was thinking to make another butterfly using her lilttle handprints. But before I'm able to draw anything, my daughter had already made it smiley handprints.

Pom Pom Chick Craft

Pom pom Easter chick craft. What you need: 2 yellow pom poms, construction paper, double sided tape, scissors and crayons.

Color orange onto part of construction paper then cut the little feather, wings, feet and the beak as shown below. Color black onto small part of construction paper then cut the two little eyes. Decide the size based on the size of your pom poms. I need to assist my 3-year-old with all these, but older kids can do it themselves. Attach two yellow pom poms using double sided tape and all the cut-outs onto yellow pom poms as shown below.
