DIY Healthy Party Favors: Butterfly Snacks

My daughter's preschool is organizing a Teachers & Children's Party today and they encouraged parents to prepare some food for them. Thus we made these fun butterfly snacks bag last night. My daughter love these butterfly snacks idea very much!

What you need: Ziplock snack-sized bags, pipe cleaners, Kellogg's Cornflakes, Nestle Cheerios and Milo Cereal(or any cereal), scissors, stickers, pencil.

Fill a Ziplock snack-sized bag with cereals. Separate your snacks to both sides of the bag, so the center is left clear for your antenna shaped pipe cleaner.  My daughter wanted to stick the round color stickers as butterfly's eyes, such a great idea! :)

Handprint Mask

Lets create a unique mask using your own handprints. What you need: pencil, masking tape, scissors, cardstocks, craft stick, paint brush, and washable kid's fingerpaint.

Have your kids use the paint brush to apply paint on their hand then press on the cardstocks. Let dry.

Next, I use pencil to trace around the handprints and cut them out.

Then, I cut out 2 holes for the eyes. For the handle, I use tape to attach one end of the stick(Starbucks stir stick) to the back of your mask as shown in the picture.

It's ready!

Use the handle to hold the mask up to cover your face!

My daughter got this drinking straw necklace from her preschool teacher. She called it "special necklace" and love it very much! They celebrated friendship day on 1 March.
